Isabelle Stubbs, 89, of Oskaloosa and formerly of Hedrick, died Thursday, November 17, 2016, at Crystal Heights Care Center in Oskaloosa. She was born, Wednesday, July 13, 1927, in Ollie, the daughter of Wade and Ruby Gold Coble.
Isabelle graduated from Hedrick High School and later attended Iowa Success college to complete secretary training. On December 31, 1964, Isabelle was united in marriage to Loren Stubbs in Hedrick.
Isabelle worked at Haw Hardware from 1945 until her retirement in 2006.
She enjoyed yard sales, talking on the phone and visiting with her friends.
She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Coble of Oskaloosa; a niece-in-law, Rebecca Gray-Smith of Chicago; a great niece, Katrina Smith; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at 11 AM at the Fremont Funeral Chapel in Fremont with Reverend Bob Voels officiating.
Burial will be in the Ollie Cemetery.
Visitation will be held in the Fremont Funeral Chapel, Tuesday, November 22, 2016, from 10 AM until service time at 11 AM.
Memorials may be made to the Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter in Oskaloosa.
