GRINNELL’S TSUHA REPEATS AS MWC WOMEN’S SWIMMING AND DIVING PERFORMER OF THE WEEK
GRINNELL, Iowa – For the second consecutive week, Grinnell College’s Beth Tsuha ’17, from Kurtistown, Hawaii (Hilo), has been named the Midwest Conference Women’s Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week.
Tsuha had a dominating weekend by picking up six event victories as the Pioneers defeated Coe College in a dual and rolled to top honors at the Monmouth College Invite.
In the Coe dual, Tsuha won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:00.62 and was on the winning 400 medley relay team that finished in 4:11.50. She was also second in the 200 breaststroke in 2:29.41.
Tsuha was a perfect 4-for-4 in the Monmouth Invite including individual victories in the 100 freestyle (56.41), 100 breaststroke (1:11.13) and 200 individual medley (2:19.18). She also was on the winning 400 freestyle relay team that finished in 3:54.39.
Grinnell swept the weekly awards, as Tsuha’s teammate Houfu Yan ’20 was named the MWC Men’s Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week.
