Grinnell Picked to Win Fourth Straight Women’s Golf Title

GRINNELL, Iowa – The Midwest Conference (MWC) women’s golf coaches have picked Grinnell College to win its fourth straight league title in the annual MWC Preseason Coaches’ Poll.

The Pioneers garnered the maximum six first-place votes and totaled 36 points in the poll. Coaches are not allowed to vote for their own team. Lake Forest College received the final first-place vote and tied with Monmouth College for second place in the standings with 25 points.

Fontbonne University and Illinois College both totaled 21 points to finish in a tie for fourth. St. Norbert College finished sixth with 13 points, while Knox College completed the poll with six points.

Grinnell opens the MWC schedule on August 28 at the Mount Mercy University Invitational.
