Friday After Five Kicks Off This Friday

The Oskaloosa Area Chamber and Development Group invites you to join them June 3rd, July 8th, and August 5th from 5pm-10pm for Friday after Five. 2016 will be the 13th year for Friday after Five in Oskaloosa.

This year the event will see some changes and new concepts based on feedback from last year. The event will be one Friday a month so it can be enjoyed throughout the entire summer and go later into the evening.

The event will feature food trucks, craft beer, cold drinks, and family activities. The event will be FREE for everyone this year. The stage and beer garden will be in a new location to provide a more enjoyable experience for everyone. The stage will be on South 1st Street and face the bandstand. The beer garden will be at the North end of the downtown park, and the family area will be on the south side of the downtown park. You must be 21 of years to enter the beer garden, and must show a valid ID. The Chamber encourages you to bring your lawn chairs or blankets to sit in the downtown park and listen to the bands play.

The lineup for 2016 is:

June 3rd- Beer and Beethoven

We start the season off with string instruments playing not only classical music, but also current hits. Enjoy a musical mash-up while enjoying craft beer in the park.

July 8th- Bandstand and Bikes

This year we are excited to feature a Bike Night. The Chamber encourages you to ride your bike to the downtown (motorcycle and bicycle) and enjoy some great Rock and Roll. We will have two bands this night. We are featuring the local favorites- Small Town Superheroes and Rich Webster Band.

August 5th- Boots and Brews

The last Friday after Five of 2106 will feature the country sensation Cody Hicks.

This year the Friday after Five Committee will be selling collectable mugs for $20. These mugs can be refilled with craft beer for only $2 at all three Friday after Five’s.
