OES 1st Grade Visits Lacey

As the school year comes to a close, Lacey Recreation Complex starts to bubble with activity during the day as teachers schedule field days at the 5-plex facility. Oskaloosa Elementary School 1st graders walked over on Monday morning to enjoy some time outside of the classroom. Teachers split the class amongst a couple of fields and had youth participate in multiple relay races. Name chanting and words of encourage were being shouted from the sidelines as youth waited their turn. The excitement peaked when the students were given permission to take off their shoes. A full on sock hop took over the outfield as youth squealed cheers of delights.
