Oskaloosa Storm Wins Battle on the Hill‏

The Oskaloosa Storm won the USSSA Capital Classic “Battle on the Hill” 2016 Tournament in Norwalk with a record of 4-0 for the weekend. During Saturday pool play the Storm defeated Ankeny Crush with a 10-8 win and defeated Ankeny Blaze 8-1.

On Sunday the Storm defeated Johnston Dash 12-9 and advanced to play Norwalk Thunder for the championship. Storm lead 10-2 in the top of the 6th inning but Norwalk would not go down without a fight. Storm defeated Thunder 10-9 in the championship game. The Storm team had strong pitching and hitting to score many runs during the “Battle on the Hill”.

The Oskaloosa Storm will play in Oskaloosa on May 20 & 21 at Lacey Complex.
