Oskaloosa–Spencer Skipper (Sr., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Business Management) capped off a tremendous 2015-2016 campaign by being named to the all-Heart of America Athletic Conference men’s golf team Tuesday.

Skipper, a first-time honoree, was one of 15 individuals to garner the postseason recognition. Honors are given to the top five finishers at the league championship as well as the 10 players with the lowest cumulative stroke averages in GolfStat’s rankings.

The senior owned a 75.3 stroke average over 26 rounds. He posted 22 rounds in the 70s, including starting the year with 11-straight rounds under 80. Skipper highlighted his season by carding a 70 on three occasions. Skipper won two events and finished in the top 10 in 10 of the 13 tournaments in which he competed.

George Long of Mount Mercy was named Heart Player of the Year, while GVU’s Chris Winkel was chosen as Heart Coach of the Year.
