Oskaloosa–Derek Seddon (Jr., Knoxville, Iowa, Physical Education) capped off the Heart of America Athletic Conference Track and Field Athlete of the Week campaign with one more win Monday.

Seddon earned his fourth Field award (all this year) by recording personal bests in three separate events at the Truman Twilight. The junior, who had already qualified for nationals in the shot put and discus, added hammer throw to the list as he placed second with an automatic standard and school record toss of 172-9.

The junior also improved upon his ‘A’ standard mark in the discus with a new school record and winning throw of 179-11. Seddon also took the shot put crown with another ‘A’ improvement at 51-8.5.

Currently, Seddon ranks second in the NAIA in the discus, 14th in the shot put, and 18th in the hammer.

William Penn finishes the year with 13 weekly awards, including nine on the men’s side.
