Oskaloosa–Stephanie Adams (Jr., Souris, Manitoba, Business Management) capped off a huge year by being named one of the top women’s bowlers in the NAIA as its All-America teams were announced recently.

Adams was one of five players chosen for the NAIA’s Second Team, while five more individuals garnered First-Team recognition. It is her first career All-America honor and the second in program history as Breanne Underwood was also a Second-Team winner in 2011-2012.

Adams finished her junior campaign with a 192.5 pin average in 65 games. She broke the school single-game record with a 289, while her top tournament average came at the Las Vegas Invitational with a 206.5 mark in six games. The junior also tallied four top-10 tournament finishes and four additional top-25 efforts.

Her leadership guided William Penn to a tournament win, three other top-10 showings, and a sectionals berth.

Brittany Smith of Grand View was named NAIA Player of the Year, while Samantha Laird of Hastings (Neb.) was picked as Newcomer of the Year. St. Ambrose’s Eric Littig collected National Coach of the Year laurels.
