Statesmen at #10 Entering League Tourney
Oskaloosa–The William Penn men’s basketball team is back in the top 10 as the NAIA’s 10th Division I rating was released Tuesday.
The Statesmen (24-6, 17-5 Heart), who collected a share of the conference regular-season crown, climbed one slot to #10 with 152 points. Fellow Heart of America Athletic Conference foe MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) is now #11, while Peru State (Neb.) improves to #16.
LSU Alexandria remains #1 with 219 points and all nine first-place votes. Georgetown (Ky.) is second, while Biola (Calif.), Talladega (Ala.), and Pikeville (Ky.) round out the top five.
William Penn is the third seed this week and will host #6 seed Benedictine Wednesday in the Heart Tournament Quarterfinals at 7 p.m.
