Mahaska County Auditor Announces Changes To Some Voting Locations
The Mahaska County Auditor’s Office is announcing a change in voting place location for voters in Oskaloosa Third Ward/University Park and Spring Creek Township. The new polling place locations will take effect beginning with the upcoming LOST Special Election on May 3, 2016 and also pertain to the Primary and General Elections later this year. New voter registration cards will be mailed out in early March to all active voters in these two precincts. The new voting location will be reflected on the cards.
Oskaloosa Third Ward/University Park’s voting location will move from the Old Webster School building on South 7th Street to the Assembly of God Church at 716 S 17th St, Oskaloosa, IA. The church is on the east side of Highway 23 as you head east and south out of Oskaloosa toward Fremont.
Voters in Spring Creek Township formerly voted at Keomah Village Community Building and will now be voting at Hillside Bible Church, 2352 Highway 92, Oskaloosa, IA. The church is on the south side of Highway 92 as you head east out of Oskaloosa toward Sigourney, just east of the Mahaska Veterinary Clinic.
All other precinct polling locations in Mahaska County will remain the same. *Adams-Monroe-Pleasant Grove and Union Townships at Union Mills Christian Church Activity Building, 1405 Parkin Ave, New Sharon; *Black Oak-Scott Townships at Leighton Christian Reformed Church, 415 Reid St, Leighton; *Cedar-Harrison-White Oak Townships at Fremont Community Center, 107 E Main, Fremont; *East Des Moines–West Des Moines-Jefferson Townships at the County Maintainer Shop – Truax, 101 Lakonta Oak St, Eddyville; *Garfield/Lincoln/Madison Townships at the Mahaska County Shop Building, 2074 Hwy 163, Oskaloosa; *Oskaloosa 1st Ward at the AEA/Extension Office Building, 212 North I St, Oskaloosa; *Oskaloosa 2nd Ward at Fellowship Bible Church Activity Building, Corner of A Ave W and North I St, *Oskaloosa; 4th Ward at Old Grant School Building (also known as Agency on Aging), 715 B Ave E, Oskaloosa; *Prairie/Richland at the New Sharon City Park Building, 102 W High St, New Sharon.
