Ottumwa Has Big Day – Osky Grapplers Send 3 on to Finals –
Ottumwa wins 3a District 2 Championship
It was a big day for Ottumwa wrestlers (pictured) as they mopped the mat with a school record 7 wrestlers headed to the state tournament next week in Des Moines. In a tough district with large schools, Oskaloosa will represent 3a next week with 3 wrestlers. Josh Diehl (113) Drew Sams,(132) and Callan Tomlin (220) will join 15 of the best wrestlers in the state from their respective weight class at Wells Fargo Arena beginning next Thursday.
Diehl (28-12) will take on Sergio Orozco (32-15) from Dowling Catholic. Sams (32-7)has been pitted against Valley’s Grant Stotts (36-3) and Tomlin (37-3) drew Dalles Jacobus of CR Kennedy.
