Oskaloosa–The William Penn men’s basketball team has taken some hits over the last few weeks, but is still a top-10 team as the NAIA released its seventh Division I rating Tuesday.

The Statesmen (19-5, 12-4 Heart), who have split their last six games, dropped into a tie for #9 with Biola (Calif.) at 182 points. Fellow Heart foe MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) improves to #17, while Peru State (Neb.) falls one slot to #18. Avila (Mo.) is again in the receiving votes section, unofficially 31st in the NAIA.

LSU Alexandria remains #1 with 250 points and nine first-place votes. Georgetown (Ky.), Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) (last first-place vote), Pikeville (Ky.), and Columbia (Mo.) round out the top five.

William Penn is home Wednesday, hosting Culver-Stockton (Mo.) in Heart of America Athletic Conference action at 7:30 p.m.
