NEWTON, Iowa (Feb. 4, 2016) – NASCAR is back, which means that it’s time to set politics aside and come together at Flix Brewhouse for the 58th running of the Daytona 500. Iowa Speedway and Flix Brewhouse will host the Speedway’s 10th Annual Daytona 500 Watch Party on Sunday, Feb. 21. The bipartisan party starts at 11 a.m. CST and the green flag waves at noon.
All the action and heart-pumping drama of the 58th running of the “Great American Race” can be enjoyed from stadium seating with high-definition digital cinema projection and sound technologies, a 45-foot wall-to-wall curved screen, and comfortable high back chairs. Why watch the race at home?
“I can’t wait to rally with other race fans who share our passion for motorsports as we celebrate the opening of the 2016 NASCAR season,” said Iowa Speedway President Jimmy Small. “Our Daytona 500 Viewing Party is a great way to prepare for Wide Opening Weekend at Iowa Speedway on June 18-19, which will kick off an exciting eight-race season at Iowa Speedway.”

Flix Brewhouse will offer food and drinks for purchase, and fans will have the opportunity to win great prizes throughout the race, including “Re-Elect Iowa Speedway” campaign memorabilia and other Speedway merchandise.
Iowa Speedway season tickets, which are currently on sale, include eight high-powered races over three weekends. Wide Opening Weekend will feature both the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and the NASCAR XFINITY Series during Father’s Day Weekend on June 18-19. The second weekend of racing will showcase the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards and the INDYCAR Series Iowa Corn 300, Indy Lights and Pro Mazda Championship on July 9-10. The 2016 race season will close on July 29-30 with the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East / West Casey’s General Stores 150 and NASCAR XFINITY Series U.S. Cellular 250.
