“Mission Accomplished Indian 8th Grade Boys Finish Season Undefeated at 12-0”

The Oskaloosa Boys 8th Grade Basketball team had one more hurdle Monday to reach an undefeated season and an undefeated middle school career in both football and basketball. The Indians faced Norwalk on the road and came out smoking hot. Oskaloosa jumped on Norwalk early leading 11-2 after 1 quarter. The Indians would build that lead to 21-10 at halftime. The lead would eventually grow to 21 points in the 4th quarter before the starters came out. The final count was 47-34. Iszak Schultz led the way scoring with 14 points and 4 assists. Xavier Foster controlled the middle reaching a double, double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Tyler Miller once again played an excellent all-around game with 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. Colton Butler had 5 points, Walker Newman 3 points and Noah Van Veldhuizen scored 2 points and pulled down 6 rebounds.

The “B” team dropped a 45-16 decision. Andy Scholes hit 2-3 pointers to lead the way with 6 points. Owen Gordon was next with 4 points and Dalton Deney and Treyton Shilling each scored 2 points. Mason Barnhart and Colin Bambrook rounded out the scoring with 1 point apiece.
