PELLA — The Central College women’s and men’s track and field squads made small shifts in opposite direction in this week’s USTFCCA National Team Computer Rankings.

Ranked No. 10 in the preseason poll, the women fell one spot this week to No. 13. The Dutch finished third in their home Dutch Athletics Classic behind two NAIA schools. The top five remains unchanged with Massachusetts Institute of Technology maintaining a solid lead atop the rankings. The Dutch women are the only Iowa Conference members ranked in the top 25.

On the men’s side, the Dutch regained two positions after up to No. 19 from No. 21. The men were team champions at their home Dutch Athletics Classic last weekend. The top five also remained stagnant on the men’s side as Wis.-La Crosse leads the way at the No. 1 slot. Central is also the only Iowa Conference program to appear in the men’s rankings.

Central ventures to Waverly this weekend to take part in the Wartburg select meet Friday and Saturday in Waverly. Action starts at 3 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday.
