WPU Falls in Spirit Squad Action to Grand View, Simpson

Des Moines–The Statesmen Spirit Squad teams were again in action last Sunday as they competed in a triangular versus Grand View and Simpson.
The cheer team faced off against Grand View twice, falling 69.45-62.45 in the first competition and 64.9-62.6 in the second.
The dance crew met Grand View first, coming up short, 218-180. WPU was a bit closer against Simpson in a 199.5-185 defeat.
Next Up: Both teams will travel to Belleville, Ill. on February 20 to compete at the NAIA Midwest Regional.
