Running Back Jordan Canzeri rushed for 140 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Iowa Hawkeyes defeated the Nebraska Cornhuskers 28-20 in a week 13 Big Ten matchup at Memorial Stadium (Lincoln, NE).
Quarterback C.J. Beathard went 9 of 16 for 97 yards and a touchdown.

George Kittle was Iowa’s leading receiver catching two passes for 35 yards, and a touchdown.
Scoring Summary

C.J. Beathard got the scoring started with just a few minutes left in the first when he found George Kittle for a 10 yard pass to give Iowa the first lead of the game.

Nebraska got their first points just a few minutes into the second quarter. Imani Cross’s 1st down 4 yard touchdown run brought the score to 7-7.

Not much separated the two sides at half, with Iowa owning a thin 14-10 lead over Nebraska.

Iowa scored 14 points in the second half against Nebraska’s 10.

Nebraska was able to strike last via a Drew Brown 42 yard field goal with just a few minutes left in the fourth, but those late points were not enough to overcome earlier deficits.
Looking Forward

Iowa came into today’s game with a 11-0 record, coming off a 40-20 win last week against the Purdue Boilermakers.

Coming off a 31-14 win over Rutgers, Nebraska fell to 5-7 after today’s loss.
