Over 100 People Take Part In Drive-Thru Flu Clinic
Fifteen-year-old Jack Miller of Oskaloosa is one of 146 people to get a flu vaccination at the Drive-Thru Flu Clinic on Saturday, Sept. 26 at Mahaska Health Partnership. He is shown receiving the flu mist from MHP Public Health Nurse Judi Veldhuizen. The clinic was sponsored by MHP Public Health. Walk-in Flu Vaccination Clinics are still available at Public Health (entrance #1) Mondays from 8:00 am to Noon and Thursdays from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Flu vaccines outside the scheduled clinics are available by appointment. Please call 641.673.3257. The flu shot and flu mist are $25. High dose vaccine for people 65 years and older is also available for $30. Medicare Plan B can be billed with proof of card. MHP Public Health also participates in the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program that provides flu vaccines to Medicaid, underinsured and uninsured children ages 6 months to 18 years old.
