Suspects Arrested In Pro Shop Burglary

On August 5, 2015 the Oskaloosa Police Department responded to a reported burglary at the Edmundson Golf Course Pro Shop located at 1608 Edmundson Drive in Oskaloosa. It was reported that a person, or persons unknown forced entry into the business sometime between 9:00 p.m. August 4th and 6:00 a.m. August 5th 2015 and stole merchandise and personal belongings from the business.

On August 12, 2015 the Oskaloosa Police Department filed charges of Burglary 3rd Degree and Theft 2nd Degree on two seventeen year old male juveniles from Ottumwa, Iowa. These charges stem from an investigation into the above reported burglary on August 5th. As a result of the criminal charges all merchandise and personal items reported stolen from the Edmundson Pro Shop have been recovered.

Both juveniles have been turned over to Mahaska County Juvenile Court Services.

Burglary 3rd Degree is a Class “D” Felony punishable by up to five years in a state penitentiary.

Theft 2nd Degree is a class “D” Felony punishable by up to five years in a state penitentiary.

It should be noted a criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
