The ballot has been finalized and Oskaloosa School District voters will have to settle one contested race for Oskaloosa School Board. Two candidates filed to run for the Oskaloosa School Board Director District 6 seat. Incumbent Shawn Moyer and Challenger Erik Edgren will square off on the September 8th ballot. Moyer has served on the board since 2013.

The school board will also likely see two new board members after the September vote. Incumbent Nik Rule did not file to run for re-election in Director District 1. Rule has served on the board since 2011. In his place, voters will see Nicholas Hansen’s name. Hansen will run unopposed for the seat. Incumbent Neal Hadden also did not file to run for re-election for Director District 3. Sharma Parlett will run unopposed for Hadden’s seat on the board. Hadden has served on the board since 2013.

Also appearing on the ballot will be Incumbent Kraig Van Hulzen. Van Hulzen filed to run for the Director District 4 seat. He has served on the board since 2014. Van Hulzen will also run unopposed for re-election.

School Board elections will be held on September 8th.
