#2 Performance of the 2014-2015 Year

Alex Edwards was only able to compete in one part of the track and field season, but he took full advantage as his effort at the league’s indoor championships placed him #2 on the 2014-2015 performance list.

The senior dominated in February, winning the Midwest Collegiate Conference Championships’ 400-meter run (49.74 seconds), 600-meter run (1:19.75), and 800-meter run (2:01.40). He also led the 4×800-meter relay team to the conference crown in 8:27.45. His efforts earned him his third-straight Athlete of the Year honor.

Edwards unfortunately could not make it four AOY honors in a row as he suffered a season-ending injury at the start of the outdoor campaign.
