Rachel Lamberson, 63 of New Sharon, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Rachel Elizabeth Lamberson, the daughter of John R. and Elizabeth (Clevenger) Williams, was born on January 18, 1952 in Oskaloosa, Iowa.

Rachel attended school in New Sharon and graduated from Newton High School in 1970. On June 12, 1973, Rachel was united in marriage to Mitchell Arthur Lamberson. To this union they raised three sons: Darin, Kevin and Curtis. They spent most of their married life in New Sharon.

Rachel worked 17 years at Pella Products as a seamstress retiring due to health reasons.

She enjoyed decorating the house, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Mitchell A. Lamberson of New Sharon; her three sons: Darin (& Brenda) Boots of Des Moines, Kevin (& Keri) Lamberson of New Sharon, and Curtis Lamberson of Keomah Village; her mother, Elizabeth Williams of New Sharon; her sister, Ruth (& Dick Phillips) Gifford of Ferguson, Iowa; her two brothers: John Williams of Baxter, and Mark (& Sherri) Williams of Altoona; seven grandchildren: Levi Lamberson, Cauyer Lamberson, Tieron Lamberson, Zoey Boots, Isabella Boots, Trae Bodensteiner and Payton (& Eric) Eicher; and a brother-in-law, Mick Vairo.

Rachel was preceded in death by her father, John Williams; a brother, Randy Williams; and a sister, Renata Vairo.

Memorial services will begin at 4:00 pm Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the New Sharon First Christian Church.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made in the family’s name to be determined later.
