Oskaloosa City Band Hosts Guest Conductor
The Oskaloosa City Band will perform on the bandstand on Thursday evening at 8 p.m. This week’s guest conductor is Rich Waddington, Director of Bands at Oskaloosa High School. The band will play a wide variety of marches, showtunes, and traditional American Folk Songs to entertain the crowd. Each week, local businesses provide complimentary refreshments, including: cold beverages (Hawkeye Real Estate), popcorn (TruBank), and snow cones (SnoBiz). Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and invite a friend or a neighbor to enjoy a favorite Oskaloosa summer tradition. Attendees are encouraged to blow bubbles during the concert, especially during the final song.
At each July concert, the Oskaloosa High School Cheer Squad will be having an Ice Cream Bar fundraiser and will be selling bowls of ice cream and deluxe sundaes.
