PELLA — Central College men’s golfer Desmond Stoll (senior, Lockport, N.Y.) was named honorable mention Division III PING all-America by the Golf Coaches Association of America Tuesday.

Stoll placed 34th individually at the NCAA Division III Championships with 73-73-75-78—299. The Iowa Conference player of the year won the league meet by eight strokes, shooting 76-71-70-72—289. He finished in the top five in 10 of Central’s 12 tournaments this season and broke the school record for lowest season stroke average (72.9). The Central senior was named league men’s golfer of the week twice and also received the team’s Ryerson Most Valuable Player Award for the second consecutive season. Stoll was one of 19 players to receive honorable mention recognition.

The Dutch won their record 32nd league title and advanced to the national tournament for the 33rd time, finishing 16th in the 41-team field.
