Jimmy Paul Jones, 61, of Oskaloosa died Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at his home in Oskaloosa. He was born Thursday, November 12, 1953 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the son of William and Delores Mason Miller.

After school, Jimmy enlisted in the U.S. Army. Following his discharge, he built ponds and waterfalls in California, Arizona and a few in Iowa. In 1988, Jimmy was united in marriage to Jeanne Vanderpool and they later divorced. To this union two children were born, Billy and Jessica.

Jimmy was a member of the Oskaloosa American Legion and a HAMM Radio group. He loved his motorcycle, tinkering, masonry and was an avid inventor.

His family includes his son: Billy Jones of Oskaloosa; two daughters: Jessica (& Jacob) Porter of Oskaloosa and Jennifer Gusciora; numerous grandchildren; his father, William Miller of Fontana, California; and his mother, Delores Crum.

As was his wish, Jimmy’s body has been cremated and no services are planned. Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
