Oskaloosa PD Seeks Suspect

On June 12th, at approximately 5:22 p.m. the Oskaloosa Police Department was dispatched to the Dollar General store located at the Penn Central Mall in regards to a reported robbery.
Employees reported that a black male in his early 20’s entered the store and had the clerk ring up merchandise. The suspect then displayed a black colored handgun and demanded money from the register. The suspect then fled from the store.
The black male was described as early to mid 20’s, approximately 5’02” – 5’06” and weighing approximately 130 – 150 pounds. The male was last seen wearing black shoes, blue jeans, a white and red colored hooded sweatshirt and carrying a yellow backpack.

It should be noted a criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
