Oskaloosa Indians

Oskaloosa Indians

The JV and Varsity boys soccer teams were both in action tonight (May 19th) against Pella.

The JV team played well, and the game ended in a 1 to 1 tie. Oskaloosa’s goal was scored by Issac Parks. Oskaloosa’s defense played well and held off the Pella attack.

The Varsity game was very close. The Indians scored the first goal of the night with 5 seconds to go in the first half. Adam Durech scored a goal off of a on free kick. It was a back and forth battle during the second half and many of our defenders stepped it up to a new level, and Ben Boston made some big plays in goal. Pella managed to even the score with 15:27 left in the game, and quickly tallied two more goals within four minutes of the first. The final score was 3 to 1.

The Indians played some of their best ball of the season against a tough Pella team, but came up just short of holding them off for the win.

Adam Durech: 1 Goal, 1 Shot
Brady DeJong: 1 Shot
