Oskaloosa Wins Over Winterset

The Oskaloosa Boys Soccer team traveled to Winterset for a four team tournament on Saturday.

Oskaloosa won a close game against Winterset by a score of 3 to 2. Two goals were scored by Adam Durech and one goal was scored by Vinay Phonkeo. Adam Durech, Connor Swim, and Rogan Skutka each had an assist in the win. Ben Boston made 6 saves.

The win against Winterset put Oskaloosa in the final game against Indianola. The score was tied at 0 to 0 when the storm hit Winterset. The weather cleared up for just long enough for a PK shootout to determine the winner of the tournament. Oskaloosa won the shootout by a score of 4 to 2 (Goals by: Adam Durech, Brady DeJong, Colton Berg, and Vinay Phonkeo). Ben Boston came up big in the shootout, making several key saves.

The Indians are back in action against Grinnell tomorrow night at the Lacey Complex.
