Oskaloosa–Derek Seddon (So., Knoxville, Iowa, Physical Education) continues his successful run as he claimed yet another Midwest Collegiate Conference Men’s Track and Field Athlete of the Week honor Monday.

Seddon was once again named Field Athlete of the Week (third in a row) as he won the discus at the Jim Duncan Invitational with a school-record toss of 162-1. The sophomore also placed fifth in the hammer throw at 158-1 and was fifth in the shot put as well at 46-0.5.

Seddon is currently first in the MCC in the discus and third in both the hammer (161-1) and shot put (46-1.25). He is also 11th in the entire NAIA in the discus.

WPU has now won 13 awards this year.
