GRINNELL’S DeFRANCO NAMED MWC MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK

GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College’s JP DeFranco ’18 has been named the Midwest Conference Men’s Golf Performer of the Week.
DeFranco, from Falls Church, Va. (Wakefield), shattered Grinnell’s school record with a round of 66 at the Stone Creek Challenge on Saturday. His efforts also helped the Pioneers break the school record for team score in a meet with a 279, easily surpassing the previous best of 301 established in 2010.
Grinnell won the meet, its first event victory since 2010.
