Oskaloosa–A win in its spring season opener has propelled the William Penn women’s golf team up the rankings as the NAIA’s second top-25 poll was released Friday.

The Statesmen improved two positions to #21 with 178 points. League rival Grand View is unofficially 33rd with three points.

Northwood (Fla.) remains #1 with 484 points and seven first-place votes, holding off SCAD Savannah (Ga.) by just one point (also with seven first-place votes). British Columbia (four first-place votes), Oklahoma City, and Houston-Victoria (Texas) round out the top five.

The Statesmen are next in action on Monday and Tuesday by traveling to Fulton, Mo. to compete in the William Woods Invitational at Tanglewood Golf Course.
