Defensive Back Harris Heading to Hungary on One-Year Contract
Oskaloosa–Caesar Harris (Sr., Memphis, Tenn., Sociology) will take his skills overseas as he has signed a contract to play professional football in Hungary.
A two-time letterwinner at William Penn, Harris has inked a one-year deal with the Nyíregyháza Tigers of the Hungarian Football League. He will report this month and play both defensive back and wide receiver for the Tigers.
Harris notched 14 tackles and one interception in his two seasons as a varsity member of the Statesmen gridiron program.
“It is always a blessing when you get to still play a game that you love after high school and even college,” Harris said. “Hopefully I get to keep playing after this experience.”
