Oskaloosa–Alyssa Phillips (So., Gurnee, Ill., Communications) reached a career high during a strong week as she was named Midwest Collegiate Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week Monday.

Phillips earned her first weekly honor by averaging 24.5 points and 7.0 rebounds for William Penn (10-13, 3-4 MCC).

The sophomore tallied a double-double against Clarke, scoring a career-high 28 points in addition to 11 rebounds. She then added 21 points versus Viterbo. Phillips made 64.5% of her field-goal tries last week.

For the year, Phillips is averaging 10.5 points per game in addition to 4.6 rebounds, 17 assists, nine blocks, and 15 steals. She is hitting 59.4% of her field goals.

It is the program’s third weekly laurel of the year.
