Oskaloosa 7th Grade AAU Team Wins School Team Showdown in Des Moines

The 7th grade boys played in a two day showdown to bring home the 1st place finish in the Platinum bracket.

The first game of pool play was against the Des Moines Metro Stars. The final score was 48-13. The second pool game was against ADM Tigers with a final score of 58-24. This effort allowed the Indians the #1 seed in the Platinum bracket for Sunday.

The first game on Sunday was against the MBA Silver(Dowling) and the boys started slow but finished strong with a 39-31 victory to advance to the championship game against our neighbors the Pella Little Dutch.

The Indians were able to control the tempo and defeat the Dutch with a final score of 49-24. Their overall AAU record is 17-2 and will see their next action this Sunday at the Osky Hoops Classic at the elementary school. The team is coached by Travis Miller, Brandon Schultz, and Scott Van Veldhuizen.
