The touring directors arrived on Monday with a set, costumes, props, and make-up – everything it takes to put on a play except the actors. The team held an open audition on January 12th and cast 65 local students out of 115 who auditioned from kindergarten through 12th grade. The kids spend the week learning their lines, blocking, music, and choreography in order to perform twice on Saturday, just five days later.

“We have some extremely talented kids in our community,” said Andy McGuire, Youth Theatre Director at the Daily. “This is our fifteenth year of Missoula and it shows. Every year, professional directors who tour for a living are so impressed with our kids.”
