Oskaloosa–Shane Bosek (Jr., Lowry, Minn., Physical Education) has rode his huge game against Grinnell to a Midwest Collegiate Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week award announced by the league Monday.

A first-time honoree, Bosek scored a school single-game record 52 points against Grinnell on 25-for-27 shooting. He broke a record that had stood since the 1980-1981 season. The junior also pulled down ten rebounds for a double-double.

Bosek added 12 points versus #9 Bellevue (Neb.) and is currently averaging 16.2 points with 6.0 rebounds. He is shooting 58.2% from the field (32.1% 3-PT) and 78.4% at the line. The guard has also tallied 22 assists, 15 blocks, and four steals.

The award is the first for William Penn this year.
