Oskaloosa Girl Scouts Collect Canned Food “To Stamp Out Hunger”

OSKALOOSA – Members of Oskaloosa Girl Scouts helped their community over the weekend by collecting 882 food items at their annual Movie Day event. Sixty-seven girls and 27 adults enjoyed a movie and popcorn at the New Sharon Capri Theater on Saturday while also helping stamp out hunger in Oskaloosa. Troop 286 led by Bobbie Doty and Sone Scott won a pizza party for collecting the most food items per girl with 42.4 items. Girls attending the event ranged in age from kindergarten through high school.
