Connie Tarr, 65, of Oskaloosa passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Connie Sue Tarr, daughter of Wilford “Bill” and Hazel “Faye” (Kingery) Brown, was born January 18, 1949, in Oskaloosa, Iowa.

Connie was a 1967 graduate of Oskaloosa High School. She married Dennis Wayne Tarr, September 20, 1968, in Oskaloosa. They made their home in Oskaloosa where they raised their three children.

Through the years, Connie worked at Hy-Vee, Oskaloosa Food Products plant for 17 years, and in assembly at Paslode for another 17 years. She retired in 2011.

Connie enjoyed family get-to-gethers and an occasional gambling outing.

Her family includes her husband, Dennis of Beacon; her children: Kassandra (& Robert) Divelbiss of Pella, Jason (& Kristi) Tarr of University Park and Heather (& David) Youngberg of Oskaloosa; eight grandchildren: Taylor, Jayden, Zachary, Kaylee, Abigail, John “Jack”, Aidan and Dominic; a sister, Bonnie Todd of Indianola; and Donna Sabin of Oskaloosa.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services for Connie will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday morning, December 13, 2014, at the Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa.
Burial will be in Forest Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m., Saturday morning, with the family greeting visitors from 9:30 to service time.
Memorial may be made to either MHP Hospice Services Serenity House or Hospice of Pella Comfort House.
