Voters Hear from Mahaska County Supervisor Candidates in Penn-Sponsored Forum for Election

(Oskaloosa, Iowa) Voters in Mahaska County will hear from county supervisor candidates in a forum on October 28, 2014 at William Penn University. The forum will be held at 7 p.m. in the Musco Technology Center on campus. Three supervisor candidates are vying for two seats on the board. The candidates include incumbent Mark Doland, Henry “Willie” Van Weelden, and Jeff Foster.

The university’s Digital Communication Program and Communication Research Institute (CRI) are sponsoring the forum. Local media including KBOE- Radio, the Oskaloosa Herald, and Oskaloosa News are collaborating on the event.

After candidates give opening comments, a moderator will ask questions prepared in advance through local media collaboration. Audience members will also have a chance to ask questions. The hour-long even will conclude with closing remarks.

The forum will be streamed live on the CRI website, at critv.org and will replay on MCG Channel 12 at the following times:

Thursday, October 30 at 5 p.m.

Friday, October 31 at 4 p.m.

Saturday, November 1 at 4 p.m.

Sunday, November 2 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Monday, November 3 at 8 a.m., 11 a.m., and 2 p.m.
