GRINNELL, Iowa – In terms of the Midwest Conference Performer of the Week honor, the 2014 cross country season has turned into a trifecta for Grinnell College’s Adam Dalton ’16.

Dalton, from Mason City, Iowa (Newman), earned the men’s award for the third time this season. Sam Martinez of Cornell College collected the honor on the women’s side.

Dalton raced to a runner-up finish at the Lamb-Kohawk Invitational in Cedar Rapids Saturday. He toured the 8-kilometer course in 26:31.6 to finish ahead of every runner but one in the 74-competitor field.

Dalton continues to have the best time in the league this season, 33 seconds ahead of the next-best runner.
