GRINNELL’S FUJIMOTO NAMED MWC VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PERFORMER OF THE WEEK
GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College’s Lindsay Fujimoto ’15 has been named the Midwest Conference Volleyball Defensive Performer of the Week.
Fujimoto, a 5-4 libero/defensive specialist from Honolulu, Hawaii (Saint Andrews), had a strong performance for the Pioneers at the St. Catherine Tournament as she led the team in digs with 5.85 per set.
For the season, she ranks among the league leaders in digs with 4.20 per set. She also has 21 assists and seven ace serves to her credit.
Fujimoto has 1,036 digs in her Pioneer career, which ranks 10th in program history.
The MWC Offensive Performer of the Week is Emily Gray of Ripon College.
