Button Notches First POW Award

Oskaloosa–Kelly Button (Sr., Tucson, Ariz., Business Management) had a great performance between the pipes last week and for her efforts she was named Midwest Collegiate Conference Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week Monday.
The first-time weekly winner helped William Penn to a 0-0 tie against Avila (Mo.), a program that was 15-3-1 last year. Button finished with eight saves.
For the season, Button owns a 3-4-1 record with 36 saves and a 1.32 Goals Against Average. She has posted two shutouts this fall.
The award is the first of the year for WPU.
