OHS Student Council host Fun Run at the Lacey Recreation Complex
Saturday morning dawned bright and beautiful as the OHS Student Council faculty and students hosted their first annual “Indian Pride Fun Run” beginning and ending at the complex stadium. The run included a 5K or you could choose to walk a mile. All available Student Council members were on hand along the route directing participants, handing out water, working registration, and some even running. The Student Council Team , lead by OHS Business Education teacher Kim Gile, was organized as a fund raiser to replace a local marquee sign. “It was a beautiful day, all went well. I am proud of the Student Council for their work! I would like to see it grow in the future and more participants join in,” stated Gile. “It was a lot of fun this first year!” The Student Council organizes activities and service projects for the Oskaloosa High School throughout the year.
