Ottumwa (What Cheer), Iowa | Age 76

Genevieve Johnson, 76 of Ottumwa and formerly of What Cheer, died Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center. Genevieve Joanne Johnson was born March 17, 1938 in What Cheer, Iowa, the daughter of Lesley and Mary Fogle Harris.

Genevieve attended school in What Cheer and was united in marriage to Robert Crane in June of 1956. To this union three children were born. After the death of her husband Robert in 1984 Genevieve eventually married Kenneth Johnson on March 18, 1987.

Her occupations were that of a full time homemaker, mother and grandmother. Genevieve enjoyed crossword puzzles, her loyal friend Rocky and going to lunch with her friends: Shirley, Lil, Barbara and Bonni. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Robert Crane; two brothers: Ron Harris and Bill Harris; an infant sister; and a great granddaughter, Casey Haring.

Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am on Friday, September 12, 2014 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in What Cheer.
Burial will be in the Sixteen Cemetery near Thornburg.
