49th Annual Fall Festival Scheduled At Nelson Pioneer Farm

49th Annual Fall Festival at the Nelson Pioneer Farm and Museum will be held on Saturday, September 20th. Don’t miss the fun with old time crafts, pony rides and kids games. The thresher and bailer will be working with the steam powered engine. Visit the blacksmith, milk the “cow” and play with live bunnies and calves. Lunch for purchase in Bradbury Hall. An old time fiddle contest in the afternoon and music on the grounds all day with Rex McFall, the Marengo Civil War Band, and the Goosetown String Band. The museum will be open with a NEW EXHIBIT! All for $5.00 per person admission. A fundraising event for the Mahaska County Historical Society.
