Nicholas Jon Farrington, 62, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, died Monday, September 1, 2014, in Oskaloosa. He was born December 25, 1951, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the son of Max and Adeline Engnes Farrington.

When Nicholas was young his family moved to Milwaukee. He graduated from Solomon-Juneau High School with the class of 1969. On December 26, 1971, Nicholas married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Patricia Ann Patt.

Early on Nicholas worked for J.C. Penney’s in their warehouse in Milwaukee. Later he took a position as a service tech with the Falk Corporation. He retired from there on June 7, 2013.

Nicholas enjoyed fishing, music and doing crossword puzzles. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is remembered as a great guy that would do anything to help. He also enjoyed visiting with people and getting to know them; he never met a stranger and was quick to make friends.

His family includes his wife of over 42 years, Patricia Farrington of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; two sons: Jeffrey Thomas (& Laura) Farrington of Franklin, Wisconsin and Peter Jon (& Shannon) Farrington of West Allis, Wisconsin; four grandchildren: Jeffrey, Jr., Haley, Chloe, and Jocelyn; brothers and sister: Mark (& Joanne) Farrington of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, David (& Pam) Farrington of Saukville, Wisconsin, Alexis Silvers of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Dan Farrington of West Bend, Wisconsin; his mother-in-law, Ruth Patt of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents; and a brother, Michael Farrington.

As was his wish his body has been cremated.
An open house celebrating Nick’s life will be held Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 1 P.M.
