Mid-Iowa Narcotics Task Force Executes Search Warrant In Knoxville

Execution of search warrant at 1329 South Lincoln St. Lot #12 in Knoxville, IA

On July 22nd, 2014 at approximately 07:15 p.m. members of the Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force with the assistance of the Knoxville Police Department executed a drug search warrant at 1329 South Lincoln St. Lot #12 in Knoxville where illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia were seized.

As a result of the search warrant 2 individuals were taken to the Marion County Jail on drug charges awaiting initial appearances. Jenna Binns age 20 of Knoxville charged with possession of marijuana 1st offense, possession of a schedule III drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a drug house. Brandon Galvin age 22 of Knoxville charged with possession of marijuana 3rd offense, possession of schedule III drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a drug house.

Possession of marijuana 1st offense is a serious misdemeanor, possession of marijuana 3rd offense is an aggravated misdemeanor, possession of a schedule III drug is a serious misdemeanor, maintaining a drug house an aggravated misdemeanor and possession of drug paraphernalia a simple misdemeanor.

The Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force is based in Des Moines and currently has 15 central Iowa agencies participating in the task force including the Jasper and Marion County Sheriff’s Offices, Knoxville, Newton, and Pella Police Departments.

AS WITH ANY CRIMINAL CASE, A CHARGE IS MERELY AN ACCUSATION AND A DEFENDANT IS PRESUMED INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY
