Tracy Johnson, 51, of Oskaloosa, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at the MHP Hospice Serenity House in Oskaloosa.

Tracy was born November 21, 1962, at Fargo, North Dakota, the daughter of Richard and Sharon Skunberg Teberg. She graduated from Moorhead High School in Moorhead, Minnesota, with the class of 1981. She earned her bachelor degree from Minnesota State University at Moorhead.

Early on she worked at a bank in Fargo, North Dakota. On July 17, 1987, she was united in marriage to Boyd Johnson at Fargo, North Dakota. They moved to Oskaloosa in 1988 and Tracy went to work at Mahaska State Bank. Tracy went back to school and earned her R.N. from Indian Hills Community College. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Mahaska Hospital, Mercy Hospital in Des Moines and last at Ottumwa Regional Hospital. She retired from the Ottumwa Hospital in 2011 when she became ill.

Tracy was a member of the First Christian Church in Oskaloosa, the Shrine Auxililary and was a charter member of the Oskaloosa Jaycees. She enjoyed camping, boating, traveling, cooking and baking.

Her family includes her husband, Boyd Johnson of Oskaloosa; two sons: Alex Johnson of Olathe, Kansas, and Aaron Johnson of Oskaloosa; her mother, Sharon Teberg of Moorhead, Minnesota; her grandmother, Olga Teberg of Fergus Falls, Minnesota; a sister, Lynn (Donald) Mabb of Menomonie, Wisconsin; a brother, Scott Teberg (Sherry Sims) of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota; her mother in law, Floy Johnson of Omaha Nebraska; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Tracy was preceded in death by her father; and her father in law, Richard Johnson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 1:30 P.M. in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa with Reverend Andrea Brownlee officiating.
As was Tracy’s wish her body will be cremated following the funeral ceremony. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will begin Friday morning after 11 in the Bates Funeral Chapel and the family will be at the funeral chapel from 5-7 Friday evening to greet friends and relatives.
Memorials may be made to MHP Hospice Serenity House.
