Marvin Feaster, 69, of Oskaloosa passed away Sunday night, April 13, 2014, at his home in Oskaloosa.

Marvin Lee Feaster, son of Roy and Hattie (Bell) Feaster, was born, July 15, 1944, in Oskaloosa, IA. He attended Oskaloosa Schools and then went to work for Kingsbury Homes in Sigourney, IA. Marvin operated Pothoven’s Gas Station for many years and also did construction work throughout Iowa. He retired from Ideal Ready Mix in 1990, where he primarily worked in the block plant.

Marvin married Marilyn Ilene Allen July 13, 1969 in Oskaloosa.

He enjoyed playing cards, watching westerns, an occasional trip to Mesquaki Casino in Tama and watching his son race cars.

Marvin’s family includes his wife of 44 years, Marilyn; his sons: Steven (Jennifer) Allen and Shannon Feaster and his friend, Becky Koontz, all of Oskaloosa; three grandchildren: Jayden and Bailey Stier and Morgan Allen.

In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by his brothers: Charlie and Coen “Homer” Feaster.

As was his wish, Marvin’s body has been cremated. No services are planned at this time. Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
